This is a great way to recycle an old clothing that has a sentimental value to you or even if you just want to recycle it. I hate tossing old clothes especially if the fabric was a good quality. We all know men shirts are quite pricey. So I refashioned this shirt into a brand new look!

Hello my loves, today I will show you how I made this cute spring and summer dress. It features an elastic waist hence elastic waist dress it is also called Blouson Dress. It it very easy to make I love the shape of this dress it is very flattering not to mention the fabric is so soft and comfy.
COMPLETE THE LOOK
Todays project doesn't required any sewing, that's right no sewing! First of all, this dress that I will be updating use to be a sleeveless dress. I updated it last year to give it a new look by trimming a few inches of fabric off on the hemline then sewed it on the shoulders to give it a ruffle sleeves that is on trend right now. I wore it all summer last year, the fabric is so light and was perfect for hot summer days.
After wearing it almost every week last summer you can easily tell that is wasn't as bright white anymore, after bleaching it a few times it made the fabric became more thinner than it was before. So I had idea of dyeing it to give it a fresh look, for the second time!
So I went ahead and bought my very first fabric dye in color royal blue. I made sure I got the right fabric dye for my dress which was a cotton material. I basically just followed the instructions on the packaging but not to the T since I kind of estimate it. I did not want to dye it in a dark blue color so I just used half of the fabric dye which is 4 oz.
Keep in mind if you have any discoloration on the fabric it will absorb the color differently. So be sure to remove the stain as much as possible before dyeing to prevent it from happening. Also the lighter the fabric the more easier it is to absorb the color. I tested a white t-shirt that has a discoloration around the neckline and it looks weird. Watch the full tutorial here.
Complete the look!
Hello my loves, welcome to another easy and free sewing tutorial, for this episode I will show you how to easily convert a vintage maxi skirt into a cute and trendy wrap skirt. So I found this skirt at the thrift store and it was in the size extra large. You will want to pick up a skirt that is a few size larger than your actual waistline since you will want to overlapped the skirt to form a wrap skirt. It is also important to get a skirt that has a flat waistband all the way around.
This wrap skirt turned out so cute and very versatile you can use it to layer or even use it as a swimsuit cover-up.
Hello my loves, today I will show you the fabrics I bought for my future sewing videos. This type of fabric is my favorite not only it is super soft and gorgeous. It is also very high quality and very easy to work with. I have sewn many dresses using a jersey knit and they can be tricky to work with especially for beginners. Not this one tho once I discovered this fabric this has been my go to fabric when I am shopping for jersey knit materials for my sewing projects. I hope you will give it a go, you will not regret it. Look at these fabrics I just bought they are absolutely stunning. As you can see in this video I was super stoked!

Hello my loves, today's tutorial is very simple and easy. I call it emergency sewing project. So I recently purchased this dress online for a great price. This was my first time to buy this brand so I did not know what to expect when it comes to size. I told myself worst case scenario is I will have to take it in like I always do when I buy a store bought clothes. Needless to say it was a tad big around the waistline and bust area. So today I will show you how to easily alter this big dress to make it fit me. I always use this method and it works like a charm every time. This doesn't require any cutting off of the fabric by the way.
Can you believe it this is my last sewing tutorial for 2017? I have posted sewing tutorials every Friday from January to December. Now that was a lot of sewing, I enjoyed doing it tho.
