Today I decided to refashion this maxi skirt into a beautiful cap sleeve dress without pattern. I bought this maxi skirt at the thrift store I fell in love with the color and print, I knew it has to come home with me. Watch the video tutorial...
I just made this beautiful peplum blouse today, very easy to make it only took me four hours to make it. I paired it with cobalt blue skirt to compliment the blue print. The small prints are very flattering for my petite frame. Peplum top is very flattering style it will give you shape and will hide unnecessary bulge around the stomach area. The key is pair it with a pencil skirt you don't want to pair this type of blouse with a voluminous skirt it will just add volume on the hips area. I decided to accessorized this outfit with a pair of white shoes and beige vintage clutch. I bought the clutch in an antique store but you can easily buy vintage bags on Ebay.
This dress is definitely one of my favorite dress that I have ever made. Not only it is so beautiful but it is also well made. I pattern matched the fabric as best as I could and it turned out so well. Plaids and checkered prints are so special to me. It reminds me of my high school uniform, it reminds me of being young and having a great time with my friends.
